if u see what im saying theres already a 1.5 din hole in my dash with a cubby box underneath maybe if you take the cubby box out there may be enough room for the double din anyone else put a double in a mk7 1999 escort

I've never seen it done. I know the dash you are talking about and after scouring the net I can only see single din conversions. You may be able to manufacture something yourself if you are handy that way but I am pretty sure there is nothing on the market.

Have you considered a single din pop out screen type unit that has satnav and DVD as well?
