New to this forum so hello first of all.

Ok, so I have an issue, I bought my father a ford fiesta zetec 1.4, 2003.

I got it of ebay, and well.. for some reason, the engine keeps shutting off.

its like, my father says, its ok when driving, its ok to an extent, and when we starts breaking, before stopping, the engine just stops, and he has to start it again.

Also, I have found when revving it on neutral, once I let go of the gas pedal and the rev comes down, before it goes to 0, it turns off sometimes.

Any ideas what the causes can be?

Any lights on dash sounds like electronic throttle body

no nothing at all, I think there was an engine light, but that has come off.

Could it be the fuel pump? or you think its something to do with the throttle?

I have no idea what it could be! its really bad.

U really need read faults I doubt it fuel problem

Theres any number of things that this could be, fuel filter could need replacing, Air sensor could need cleaning, throttle position sensor need replacing or the throttle body need cleaning.

Ideally we need error codes to narrow it down.
