2005 C-Max Tailgate Switch Not Working?

Featured Replies

Hi fellow ford owners!,

I have a 2005 C-Max and the the tailgate switch has stopped working and can only be opened by the key fob?

Any advice would be appreciated

Ian

Fixed this one recently. Go back a page to the CMAX sub forum, you will see a guide on "fix bootlid lock random opening problems" its all in there. A very good guide, and one I followed to repair my car. I bought the switches from maplin and they worked a treat. Hardest part is getting the old switch out cleanly...

Many Thanks

No worries, and if I can fix it, Given that at the time I had absolutely no soldering skills whatsoever and probably stood more of a chance of setting it all on fire, I doubt you will have any problems :D
