Fiesta Mk3

Featured Replies

Hi

I am looking to purchase a Mk3 Fiesta XR2i as a car to use everyday and also as a hill climb and sprint car. I am little confused as to the history and specification of this model though. In searching for the right car, there have been a lot of XR2i's advertised with 1.8 engines however from what I have read the only mk3 with a 1.8 was the RS1800, it this correct? Wikipedia seems to contradict this as well, as does my insurance company plus some of the other websites?

Any help especially if there any identifying factors from the body that are known would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Will

I dont know about the Mk.III but wiki's article on the fiesta is mainly quite poor, some of it is just plain wrong, but some of the links at the bottom might point to useful sites
