Spoiler Upgrade

Featured Replies

Hey all,

Been thinking lately if its worth doing a small mod to my Mk3 titanium focus. I really like the look of the Zetec S focus spoiler and was thinking should i or shouldn't i?

Just wanted to know what everyones views on it are, do you think its worth it ? Will it suit it ? or is there no point unless the whole body kit is changed?

This may well also void the warranty so may not be something i'll do until 2015 however it can't hurt to plan out a few things and get some ideas from other ford fans.

I should also mention id have no idea how to fit it myself so labour costs would come into it. plus spraying it panther black.

so yeah...what are your thoughts ?

cheers

Definitely.

A good spoiler makes a big difference to the look of a car.

Very true ! I think it will give it a whole new image.

thanks mate, appreciate your reply.

I changed my stsndard MK2 spoiler for a facrlift one and never looked back.

If I could find a ready silver painted Zetec S or ST one i'd change up again.

Yeah this is the issue i have now, its difficult to find a ready painted one. Will have to a bit of research as to how i would go about it. I'm sure i can find some local body shop that will spray it for me and then i can look into fitting it.

Hi Tom

thinking along the same lines as you ,There is someone on here that has already done it and posted pics and a detailed description on how to change the spoilers over ,but forgot who it was and just spent my dinner hour looking for it .

Sorry to get your hopes up but all i can remember is he had a white Mk3 Focus Titanium if anyone else can remember where he posted .

Sounds like it could be Preee...

He's got a Few guides etc

Thanks TDCiST

yeah he`s the one ,just looked through and found his build thread with the pics .

Wow brillaint, thanks guys. much appreciated for all your help :)

Hiya

The spoiler makes for a great and easy Mod , got mine Primed off Ebay for £100 , and it cost me another £100 to get it painted. Looks great it's in my guide in my signature.

I used all the bits off the old spoiler apart from i brough some strip foam for the inside top lip to cushion it.

Spoilers are always good!

When it comes to modifying your car your doing it for you and your can good to get opinions tho the spoilers do look great on them its worth looking on ebay i've found a company in Thailand that do ford spoilers they even spray it the colour you want as for fitting its simple if you dont already have a factory spoiler most just sit onto the car plenty of tek7 hold in place for an hour 2 if u can spare the time have a mate there with some free time for company an dont drive the car fir a day or two let it set as for the warranty ask the dealership it could void it in you

First mod I done to my focus when I bought it
