Hi, I've had my new fiesta for just under a month and today on the motorway, a light came on with a message saying "Engine Malfunction, Sevice now" then limited the engine to 3000 revs, pretty scary going in the fast lane!! Anyone have any ideas, or had the same problem? only done 750 miles!!

    Take it back and say you want a new one. Dont accept a repair if its a dog after a month whats it gonna be like in a year down the line .

    Could be any number of things m8, I would guess at an injector or the tps im the pedal

    What the hell! i'm sure the engine cant have croaked already! Maybe its more likely a blown fuse of short circuit has set it off... I agree with mark though, if they say the actual engine needs repair, get a total refund of replacement, as god only knows whats to come!!

    (Should have bought a petrol... :ph34r: )

    Def take it back. By limiting it to 3000rpm it has gone inti safe mode or "limp" mode. Take it back and demand something to be done.
