Well I'm not having much luck with a few little mods at the moment and today I tried to fit my iphone lead into stereo. Got everything removed and I knew I had the key for the stereo so connected up and tried to input code and its says incorrect.

However looking at the code and the serial number on the card and the stereo they don't seem to match which might be my problem.

Here is the card and a pic of the sticker on the stereo and a pic of the actual stereo, any help,would be great as I'm getting grief from 3 year old as we can't listen to dingle dangle scarecrow which by the way isn't a bad thing lol

Ebay is your saviour in this case or else it's a main dealer job.

Yeah thought as much. Dealer wanted me to come to them and a 20 quid charge. eBay is 2.84 so will wait and see if it actually works

Remember that you only get about 10 tries before Ford have to recode the radio which is expensive.

All sorted I'm back in the game and working perfect. Just need to find somewhere to put the iPod connection as at present it comes out in driver footwell as it was easiest. Toying with routing it to cup holder or near cig lighter

I originally ran a connector down behind the demister switch panel and into the front ashtray cubbyhole.

Now I have it coming out in the armrest tray.

It's quite usual for car dealers to have a pile of owners manual packs lying around and just give out random ones without consideration to radio code cards and correct manuals for the car.

Just peel off the sticker and write the radio serial and security code on the card, there should be 4 boxes printed on the card under the sticker.

I have swapped my stereo a few times now and just use some Dymo thermal print ribbon on mine.

It's just crazy that you get a key code that doesn't match your car, they may aswell not bother. Will remove sticker and write it on the card....good thinking lol
