12" Fiberglass Sub Box For Focus Estate Mk1

Featured Replies

Hi all, well as it seems no one has done this sort off project im thinking to challenge it and see how it goes. I like a challenge, lol.

I'm going to make a Fiberglass box fo my 12" Kenwood W3013 1200watt (400rms) sub with a slot to mount the amp KAC-8405 aswell. I will post photo's as I go.

Stuff I will be using will be:

5 litres polyester fiberglass resin

Fiberglass matte

MDF (for supports for sub and speaker rings)

Masking Tape

Paintbrushes

Glue Gun

Fleece Fabric

Speaker terminal Cup

Carpet to match the box with the car interior

There is one concern but from all the sites ive seen where people have done this they seem not to worry about the box size for volume?

Cheers Chazz

From when I make my sub box in a previous car. I would mask the area in your boot first then duck tape over that. Makes alot easier to remove after you have done your fibreglassing
