Anyone had trouble with their 3-button keyfob coming apart, happened a couple of times to my missus ,go to pull key out of ignition and shaft part of key is left in ignition and button part in hand, what a state to get into, yet another useless thing from FORD!!

    Is the car still in warranty? If so I would take the key back.

    My key fob is fine but I would expect it to be after only having the car 2 months!

    My dad's peugeot key does this all the time though.

    My last car was an Astra with a remote key and I never had any problems with it.

    I hope I don't have any with this one too................ :)

    Going to dealer tomorrow morning (independant where we bought it from, not Ford)and hopefully get it sorted , baseball bat should help encourage him to sort it LOL
