Hey all

I'm having some audio issues with my 59 plate focus Titanium - iphone connectivity-

I've read that I need to update the firmware on the audio unit but I can't find where to download the updates

could some one point me in the right direction please :D

Did it do a download in the background?

I just accessed it, it took a couple of seconds, then my antivirus popped up asking "did I really want to go there?" then after I told it yes, it took a few seconds and then redirected... as per the small blurb below...

compatibility with the Ford Bluetooth and multimedia system. In some
cases it may be necessary to perform a software update for your Ford
Bluetooth and multimedia system using a USB stick.

Please read the
update instructions in the right-hand column carefully and then follow
these step by step to ensure that your Ford Bluetooth and multimedia
module is correctly updated to the latest software version. You can also
view the update process in the video in the right-hand column.

Please note: it is only possible to perform the update using a Ford Bluetooth handsfree system in conjunction with a USB connection. The update is not applicable for the Ford KA.

I read somewhere I need to delete certain files is this true???

Not heard of a need to delete old files I thought it did that itself, I downloaded the file from online without issue, so have you tried another browser?

yep tried differant browser/computer still getting " update failed try again " message

When you say the update fails do you mean the download from the website or the update in your car?

Here is the update in my dropbox

Extract the contents of that zip to the root of a USB stick and then follow the rest of the update options.

The most recent update is from Nov 2012.

I tried to update mine and thought it was failing, however it turned out I already had the latest update installed and the message advising this only flashed up for a second then disappeared, took 3 tries before I actually saw it

It could be to be honest I don't know,

but i'm not seeing any message prior to the update fail message and I can't hear or control the music on my phone (neither USB or bluetooth), the phone does connect to the car via bluetooth for the phone calling functions
