Help! Mk4 headlight issues

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

Not sure how helpful or knowledgeable this forum is but I'll give you a shot :P

Just bought myself an escort Mk4 3 dr estate with a x-flow.

Engine runs well, having a couple of electrical issues though...

1) Turn the headlight switch one click- lights come on, turn it again- no change.

2) No dashboard/dial lights on either setting.

3) Only have full beam when lights are on off setting.

Very confused, never worked on a escort wiring or ford wiring to say that so im stumped, any ideas/suggestions?

The knowledge of this forum is shocking. It appears that you are all well off folks just wanting to talk about your 'modern' cars and maybe discuss what wheels to fit or contemplate a supercharger. Thanks but no thanks, I wont be returning so dont bother replying if anyone reads this.

could give you an answer but then, bye bye.
