Help - Sun Finally Out And Can't Release Roof Storage Compartment!!

Hi,

I cannot get the compartment to store the roof to open - I press the release button with the ignition on in position 2 but nothing happens. We've checked the fuses, cannot find a red cord in the boot to open anything so any help would be greatly appreciated!

I don't know if it has anything to do with it but the sensors in the boot were recently deactivated because the alarm kept going off

    Deactivating the sensor is most likely the problem.

    It's probably a safety thing to stop the compartment opening while the boot is open and likely to jam against each other.

    Thank u for the quick response! We've found the bit that's been disconnected in the boot but can't work out where it should be reconnected to, by any chance do u know?!
