Led Bulbs Footwell Boot Etc?

Featured Replies

I bought these bulbs the other day kinda a spur of the moment thing without really checking lol.theyre the wedge shape t5 bulbs.

Could anybody show or tell me where the light is on the drivers side footwell of a mk2 focus as I either don't have one or the bulbs gone and I can't see it.

The bulb in the boot light I can't really work out how to remove the wires from the back of it without breaking em.

Any other uses for these bulbs I now have lying about lol?

The footwell bulb holder on the drivers side is up under the left side of the footwell.

The boot light bulb holder just twists out of the lens-

Yeah I kinda beat you to it mate as I got bored of waiting lol.

I worked out originally that u twisted the bulb in the boot but it was hot so I couldn't pull it from the connector until I stupidly realised maybe I Should take the fuse out aha.

I looked under the dash for those two sockets and still couldn't see em until I saw a photo on another forum.

Side question,do you have to declare a ford owners club sticker as a mod (stupid question but you know what they're like)?

A club sticker would not be considered a declarable mod.

Glad you're sorted on the boot light, did you find your footwell bulb holders or do you just have the dreaded empty holes where the holders should be?

The footwell holders were there, just slotted them in,I was looking for wires at first that's why I couldn't find them aha.took pictures but this camera doesn't do it justice.

Just need to do the overhead light and number plate ones and I'm done.

theyre a dark blue getting close to a hint of purple in them

Stoney, would blue number plate bulbs be illegal as they're the same colour as emergency services?

Sent from my iPhone using Ford OC

I would imagine that they are illegal as I've been told blue side lights are illegal.

I'm sure stoney will reply soon as if anyone will no for sure it's stoney. Lol.

True, but neon underlighting under the car isn't illegal ,blue side lights are obvious as the person in front of you can easily mistake you for police.

I see a transit with blue drl's on the front the other day though.

That's a valid point. Will be interesting to see what stoney has to say on it.

Short answer yes.

Blue lights on the exterior of any car are illegal unless for emergency services.

Numberplate bulbs must be white.

Are neon under lights completely illegal then?

Sent from my iPhone using Ford OC

They should not be used while the car is in motion as they can be classed as a distraction to other drivers.

Fine when parked or for show use only.

Does that go with any exterior lights then I take it stoney? Even led lights in the grill say?

How would I go about putting these in the rear footwells?

Looking very nice mate.

Did you already have the light in the glove box?

If so where abouts is it? Want to do mine.

Lenny has got a guide for rear footwell lights I believe

It's in the top right corner, the bulb was already in there but as I opened the actual case up it all fell out and it took me a while to put it back right lol

White only to front except indicators and red to rear except indicators, plate lights and reverse light.

But they add 5BHP!
