Fuel Mileage With Dual Tanks

Featured Replies

I have a 1997 F350 with dual fuel tanks.

The problem I have is that I get 10mpg on the front tank and when I switch to the rear tank I am only getting 6mpg.

Hope someone can help.

Thanks

Just use the front tank - avoid the back one!

Hi Greg,

My knowledge of the F350's isnt all that great, but if your seeing such a drastic difference in the MPG between the two, I wonder if there is a blocked or poor quality fuel filter between the rear and the engine?
