My Mk3 Escort was originally a 1.6 petrol, then someone put a diesel engine in....then a 1.3 petrol. The gearbox that is fitted is stamped 92wt7f096aa I/1, could anyone tell me what box this is from. Thanks. :)

my guess would be the non Turbo Escort 1.8 Diesal gearbox simalar to one pictured.

i work for landrover/ford at the moment. Normal last few letters only change with advised parts are changed internaly on yearly lot change of parts.

So i know the whole part number don't match but the main one does. :)

75w 90 is recommended but anything around that be fine.
