First Year Minor Service

Featured Replies

June marks the one year anniversary of my Fiesta ZS, so it's due it's first service. I've had a look online and Busseys (the main dealer round here) charge £229!!! When I bought the car from thinkford miles away... The salesman told me first service cost is £160. (D'oh)

What are my options here? Obviously I want to keep the car in warranty but £229 seems a lot for a minor service!!

Dan

There is no obligation to pay Ford to complete a service in order to keep the warranty valid.

You would need to have the car serviced by a garage with a VAT number and as long as they use Ford parts and service the vehicle as per the expectations, there is no need for Ford to do the work. I would however if you want Ford, go down the road to where you bought it, if you find a good dealer, its worth keeping them close by!
