So my focus had its service today, I was recommended to get the cambelt water pump & drive belt done by Evans halshaw as it's due but the have priced it at £650!! Is this an average price?

    Theres a fixed price on cambelts at ford dealers for diffrent models. So there wrong by a longshot. Ive done around 5+ per week for the last month due to how cheap it is at the moment. 90% are zetec engines

    even with the indie, I was expecting to pay out over £300, I am amazed that I got it for £210 but if he does the job right, I think I know who will be my personal mechanic!

    dont bother with a dealer mate, for the full sets from my dealer, they wanted about £380 after my discount.

    Its not worth it, indies can do the job equally as well and for much less out your pocket. its always worth phoning them. the worst they can do is say no.
