Today I have cracked the rear window on my wife’s Streetka, I was under the impression that it just zipped in so no big problem, or so I thought. Ford will supply one for a Kings ransom so I thought it better to shop around and get more info. I have been told from a soft top supplier that it doesn’t really zip in like the conventional zip because it has to be bonded to the rag which is expensive. And it has also been suggested that the only solution is a new top. Can anyone offer an unbiased opinion on this?

I have seen a couple of posts where a rear window has been successfully replaced but no indication as to which company or cost incurred. Help please as I not the most popular bunny in the nest.

Might be worth looking for a hard top,they appear on Ebay quite often,if you have storage space for it when your cruising :P

It's a french website, they are building rear windows for convertibles or complete tops, it's very good quality, and it fit perfectly the car. (I have bought them a complete soft top for an old suzuki vitara).If I remember well, you can find a rear window for 80€, and maybe you can have it tinted.

I have just bought a streetka which had a slit in the back window, so my Garage guy got a new one from Ford. He had a heck of a time fitting it, because there is a "zip", but it is not a conventional type one. There is also a lot of very tough velcro all around the window. However, he did it in the end, so yes, it can be done. The price here ( in France) of a new one was around 420 euros, so that's about £4OO !!!!!

have same problem with split in the back window of my streetka ice. a local company replacing it at a cost of £250.00  its a big job and should only be done by specialist repairer! 

I am having mine replaced this Saturday too as I bought my StreetKa with a damaged rear window. Mines going to cost £175, does anyone have any advice on how to care for the new one better than the last owner did? Does anyone have any tips and tricks?

Also make sure that when the roof is folded away that you avoid crumpling up the plastic, fold carefully and put a cloth over the plastic so that it doesn't stick to itself.

Frank here. I managed to crack my rear window the day I purchased my StreetKa checking that the roof folded down and wrongly pushed against the brittle window. One month later I have a beautiful piece of cardboard keeping the rain out. Has anybody tried the guy on eBay turning round the repair/replacement for £65. You just post the unzipped window to him.
