Central Locking and after-market alarms

Featured Replies

Hi Everyone...

I have a Mondeo Estate TDi 130, but have just bought my daughter a '99 V reg Ka Collection. (her first car)

The central locking is not woring, but I pretty much know what the problem will be and can sort the wiring no problem.

Unfortunately the car only came with a single normal key and no remote one.

I know I can use any keyfob as long as I reprogramme it to work with the central locking, but I'm not sure if there is any built-in alarm system?

I there isn't. can I fit an after-market alarm system that has a central locking output and link it to the existing central locking module to lock/unlock the doors?

If I can, can anyone tell me where the CL module is and what connections I need to make?

Thanks in advance.

John
