Audio System Issue

Featured Replies

Hi i have a 2009 ford focus zetec 100 with cd 6000 audio system

I cant seem to get to aux, everything i press it, it goes to radio automatically

The TP is highlighted with a box around it

Randomly says 1 hour sometimes

Thanks

TP refers to Traffic Programme, basically while this icon is visible your radio will pause CD playback/Aux input and jump to a local radio channel which is broadcasting traffic reports/delay notifications.

You can switch this off in the radio menu.

Concerning your AUX problems, do you actually have an aux connection installed in your car?

The 1 hour notification could point to a problem with the wiring from the ignition system which results in the radio jumping to battery power, the 1 hour feature is designed to avoid the radio remaining on after the ignition is off hence draining the battery.

You may want to check the wiring loom or even the alternator output.

Do you ever get a slight loss of power in the engine which corresponds with the 1 hour function jumping on?

Are you only seeing this message when the ignition is off and you turn the radio on?, if so this is perfectly normal.
