    My brake fluid was changed on a month ago and has gone black in that time.

    Is the clutch hydraulic and does it use the same reservoir as the brakes

    I believe that this is brakes only. It could be that you have gathered dirt or just as the old fluid aged it dirtied the pipes and hoses, which is why your new fluid has inherited the same colour.
