Airbag Light Help!

Featured Replies

Hiya all!

On sunday we drove my ford ka 1997 on a diversion route which was a bit of a rough road then I drove it onto grass to park it where we were visiting - when we got back in the car 1-2 hours later and turned the engine on the airbag light came and remained on until we turned the car off again (it didnt flash) - later in the day I turned it on and the light remained on for a few seconds longer than usual but since then it has been fine (i hardly drive it as I am a learner and its for driving practice)

could anyone tell me why this is and if it is a serious problem or how I can fix it or make sure it doesn't come on again!

thanks

Kerri

as long as the light stays off i would not worry to much, you might have picked up some grass or dirt on a wheel sensor which then cleared itself.

Shuld that not put the ABS light on rather than the airbag light though?
