2002 KA roof bars

Featured Replies

Hi guys. I,ve got hold of a pair of second hand roof bars for our KA but i need the kit that fits them to the roof of the car. Problem is my local Ford dealer has told me that the kit isn't available separately anymore. Any ideas where i might get one?

Also how does the kit fit to the car? Do you need to remove the rubber strips from either side of the roof? They appear to be glued in.

Cheers.

Fitted roof bars yesterday I picked up second hand bars and a new kit on Ebay. The fixing instruction are with the kit. A bit mind boggling at first but if you famaliarise yourself its quite straighfiorwad. If you like I could send you the instructions. The strips in the roof are only glued in at the front and back for approximately 25mm. If you remove them from the back (n o need to remove the front)any damaged caused to the strip can be cut off as the strip gets reduced in length by the length of each fitting point. I'm new to the forum so I don't know how to directly get in touch with you or whether its OK to put my email address or phone number on here.

Cheers for that mate, some instructions would be a start at least.

Any chance you could scan them and email them to me?

Cheers.
