Anyone?

Willy, if you replace your stereo unit for any aftermarket one you will need a huge facia kit that IMO looks ugly as hell and as soon as you do this all your car me menu options you want to keep you will loose im afraid so the best thing i could suggest is turn sync off unless you want to spend a fair bit of money to get it done, i had it quoted up a while ago, the facia is £199 plus fitment then the head unit i wanted was £300 so then all the wiring and then a smaller top screen so you still can use it for the warning messages was another £150 so after that then the labour it was around £800-1000 price will go up the more expensive the head unit

Cheers Dan.

Not worried about the cost and happy to fit myself. I'd love to just switch off the sync but it's not possible without removing the sync module which also takes away your usb and bluetooth features. I really want to just replace my module with a non sync version but go no where with that.

What's wrong with the Sync system Willy?

Sync works fine but is inferior to the older bluetooth system. I can't update my sync so I don't get bluetooth track info, I can't play usb music in track order without editing all my mp3s. No continuous play from one album to the next. All the above irritate me but sync is setup to work like that.

So ford have tried to make their own version of Bluetooth and it doesn't work then really :| well if you would like to do it your self i guess it wouldnt be that hard to you get a facia kit that should have all the correct wiring harnesses on audio car shop online try them first if not do you have a car audio shop near you?? Not halfords tho lol but you could try then see what they think you need and that, the hardest bit i think would just be getting the new head unit to work with the top screen but apart from that its like changing any other radio if the wiring harnesses dont fit get a wiring diagram and make your own up :) just if you do it make sure you get an adaptor for the steering wheel controls and should be sorted really :)

I was looking at this at one point - it was the best looking i could find - they do also offer installation in the UK.

But might be a bit overkill if you just want working bluetooth :)
