Help Pls. 2010 Ka And Removing /replacing Lower Wishbones

Featured Replies

Hi all

My daughter has a 2010 KA the new shape one, both bushes in the lower wishbones are knackered. I got a new pair and a set of drop links and thought ill pop them all in on Sunday am.

Well, I'm lost. There's a bolt holding the lower wishbone that's inside the subframe and can't be got at.

It's at the point on the wishbone where it turns 90degrees before the ball joint. I just can't see how you undo the bolt in there ..... I can't get a socket in there because there are 2 vertical bolts that hold the front leg of the subframe to the front of the car. I can't work a cranked spanner in there either.

Has anyone managed to replace theses wishbones on a later model ka?

I've been searching the net for hours and can't find anything?

Help pls

Thanks

Scaff

I'm not familiar with the later ka's. You don't happen to have any pictures that we might be able to look at to advise?

You have to remove the front bumper and crumple struts to access these bolts

Scaff will be most pleased that you have answered his cry for help. He's been stuck for 8 years trying to get them off 🤣

Mind you he's never checked back to see if there was answer since 25th August 2014. It would have be quite funny if you had posted the answer the next day.
