Fake Bosch Aerotwin Wipers

Featured Replies

Bought these Bosch wiper blades for my Focus , on receiving them they don't look anything like the old Bosch blades I had. Now I know manufacturers change their designs over time, but my initial thoughts are they are fakes. What's your thoughts, has anyone bought Bosch Aerotwins lately and what do they look like? Bottom photo is the new blade.

looks like they have confused the "Aero" style blades with being the "Bosch" Style blades - I guess its no worse than confusing VAX and Dysons as "Hoovers".

I would personally drop the seller a note advising that these are not genuine BOSCH and request a refund and a change to the advertisement. Clearly they dont understand the difference between BOSCH as a brand, and AERO as a design.

I have been looking on the net and have found other sites/images of the ones I have been supplied, however I am still not convinced they are genuine

Nah there genuine mate,

I recently bought Bosch Aero blades from micksgarage.com

Bosh aero design now has a bulky middle connector which cators for retro hook style blade and the new aero bar style, does make them very bulky but thats the way they are now,

Perhaps there is patient on the original style so bosch had to restyle or pay fees

See in this image below the angry bird,

You can see the wiper arm is raised due to the more bulky joint block on the blade.

Ok cool cheers Lenny, I have emailed Bosch anyway (before your post). The design seems backward, less quality if you like. Its just I have used aerotwins for probably 8 years or so ans they have always looked like the old ones and it got me suspicious

+1 mate

All modern cars except Dacia use the aero style so why create a backward compatable design making everyone suffer

It's a cost cutting exercise for them, the way they look at it is why make loads of different wiper fitments when they can use one wiper for all.
