Malcolm 47
I have a 1996 Calypso cabriolet with Zetec 1.6 engine and continuously variable automatic gearbox. Lovely car but the gearbox is in need of attention as it stalls the engine when cold when put in forward drive. No problem with reverse. Once warmed up it is much better although the pull when engaging drive is considerable. Does anyone have any advice what the problem may be or know a specialist mechanic in West Kent. Malcolm 47
Hi, Not sure to whom I'm replying but I have checked the fluid level and because there is a leak I top it up regularly. Thanks for the contact for JT Automatics - I will call them. Regards Malcolm
jeebowhite
They seem to know their stuff! I had to look into them when I had the CMAX and I was afraid the gearbox was going to explode! I had a long chat with one of their tech bods and he was very helpful. They seem to be willing to go far above the extra mile to help their customers!
