Jvc Microphone Broken...help

Featured Replies

Hi guys ive got a jvc bluetooth stereo

In my focus and ive tries to wire the microphone last night so i can use the hands free but due to the plug getting caught in my dash i ripped it off is there any way of re terminating the cable into another auxiliary plug or do i chop off the one one the stereo and use a connector block so connect them together

Please advise

I seem to have a white core which im not sure has a cable inside and lots of copper fibres surrounding it like coax cable

You will need a pair of needle nose pliers to remove it I would guess

The wire is indeed like a co-ax cable.

The white bit in the middle will have a very thin copper core.

Unlikely it will solder as it's very fine and any heat will melt it rapidly.

I reckon your best option is a replacement part.

oh.... the stereo cost £30 the replacement costs £20 if its just a centre core and coper fibres how about 2 connector blocks that should do it right?
