Ford C Max 2ltr auto 2008 44K miles

The audio on the indicator has a habit of working intermittently especially at the start of the day, however the indicators are working properly. I would also add that the clock is losing time at about 2 mins a month. I was wondering if the voltage stabaliser may be at fault. Any suggestions please.

Check the multi plugs underneath the passenger side dash, the plugs work themselves loose and that can cause the audio on the indicator not to work.

As for the radio. I have read on c max owners club forum there is a fox for this.

I have done as you suggested and check the connectors to the fuse board in the passenger foot well and also checked the large blue connector in the engine bay left hand side. All were well bedded in to their respective sockets. One thing I have noticed is that the fault only occurs after the vehicle has moved. If I turn off the ignition and turn it back on again the fault is not there. It never occurs when standing still and has not been driven or after about 15 mins of driving.

I have had the fault code reader connected to the system and no faults are recorded, this is going to be a hard one to crack.

Yet another peculiarity is that if the date is changed by using the computer programme via the indicator stalk it will not go past 2012 but if the radio is used to change the date all is fine and it updates the dash info panel as well.
