Changing Speedo Cables

hi I recently bought a new speedo off a guy on facebook and didn't realise there were two types of cable plugs into the back of them I have the big yellow one and the speedo cable aswell but the new one has a smaller black plug with no hole for the speedo cable

I was just wondering if anyone has changed them before and how they went about it and if it is even possible
