Ford Escort Van Fuel Gauge Wire Pulled Off. Help To Replace

Featured Replies

hi all just joined this website to ask a simple question to see if any of you mechanics out there can give me a hand.

i have a 52 plate ford escort van and was pulling off some grass verge today, i pulled off some wires underneath and my fuel gauge as stopped working, i can see where one side of the wires have come from but on the other end there is some sort of plug?

where does this go,

can i buy a new one of the wires ive pulled off?

can i fix this myself or is it a garage job?

many thanks in advance for replys.

Paul

Hi Paul,

Normally the wires are straight through, you might need to just patch the wire with another wire and solder otherwise just solder the two or connect both ends with a crimp connector, or spade connector.
