nicebeer
Hello, My garage tells me that I would be well advised to leave the old spark plugs alone on a recent service. Reason given, these engines have a habit of welding the plugs to the block. Removal for service replacement can result in damage! "Better wait until spark plugs are really worn out !!" unquote. Although 14 years old, this KA has only done 20K miles. Can anyone advise if this is true, and if so what does enable removal? Copious amounts of WD 24 hours before the attempt ? All reply's gratefully received. Nicebeer ;)
Nick_T
These cars do have a habit of snapping spark plugs in the head, a friend did it once and changed the cylinder head. Try soaking them in penetrating fluid first and go easy would be my advice. Oh and welcome to the forums :)
