Heavy Fuel Consumption

Featured Replies

I have recently got a 1.8 petrol Sep 2007 C-max and it seems that fuel consumption is really low.

We have only done just over 200 miles and the avg mpg in 26.1.

it has been on a really good run as yet, but it isn't just a mile down the road and turn off either.

In fairness the journeys are probably not long enough at the moment, but just wondered if what I am getting is about right.

The car has 59000 miles and full service and runs lovely

Any thoughts?

Thanks

My 1.6 focus gets about 27/28 mpg. And it's used daily in town driving conditions.

Try resetting it when you next fill up and go from there.

sooo many things can affect petrol consumption its untrue. tryes, binding brakes- incl handbrake cable, etc. start at the cheapest options first.
