Jonah11
Hi guys. Gunna do a service on my Mondeo tomorrow. First one 2010. Was us logged anyway. Would anybody recomend using engine flush or just change the oil as normal. Heard good and bad about this engine flush. :-)

stef123
Personally I wouldn't use an engine flush without reason to do so. Regular oil changes with quality oil will be better.
Jonah11
Ok well I'm using triple X stuff recommended for Zetec and duratorq engines. There's no sign if lumpy or slimy oil so a oil change will probs be ok. :-) thanks
Lenny
I used Wynne's engine flush on my last service of my 1.6TDCi and the oil came out like shoe polish, Idl3 was a bit quieter afterwards and mpg slightly increased. Could be just the oil change made these changes not sure, Id recommend the engine flush if the egr was/is still active, If still active id blank the egr with stainless steel plate and use the flush, An active egr puts carbon deposits in to the oil which gathers around the turbo oil feed pipe slowly blocking the artery if you like, If turbo oil feed gets blocked then turbo splits, Ive used flush on my 2010 focus, ive also used it on a 14 year old Toyota no problem with either, Wynnes now have flush specific for diesel engines but i think its just a label change, As on the back it says for petrol and diesel engines lol
