Hutty89
Hi all, I've got a mk1 Focus 1.4 (unfortunately), a few months ago I had a issue with my speedo dropping momentarily, which led me to change the speed sensor on the back of the gearbox - pain in the !Removed! job!! After that I have also replaced the ignition coil and the spark plugs as idle was dropping slightly. The motor has been a good girl for about 5k miles but now have another issue..... The speedo is stuck on zero, and the trip computer is blanking out, no showing/recording mileage... Surely this can't be the speed sensor as only just been done... Car runs ok, between gear changes it is a little lumpy, and Idle is slightly higher than usual although not a lot at all... I have heard something about a oil seal in the final drive/transmutation oil flooding the sensor? I've been scratching my head for days now and struggling to fix, any input would be much appreciated many thanks... J Ps.... It's X reg, 82k on the clock Sent from my iPhone using Ford OC

AdeMk1
Have the fault codes read from the ECU if the EML is on, this will point you in the right direction. Usual suspects are VSS, ISCV or instrument cluster.
