I think it's worth it, mk2 estates are getting thin on the ground now. Could make a good project.

If you have the money to finish the restoration I would say go for it, but if you have the money for the welding and nothing else maybe you should find someone who has the funds and resources. It has great potential and is rare, it needs to be back on the road. But it will need continual money thrown at it...

I would get it done, use it as an occasional driver and just watch the value rise quicker than a savings account

Well worth doing, both as an investment and you may regret not persevering with it

Just found a place for floor pans even cheaper, and of decent quality, most things they sell are competition grade, West Wales Rally Spares, their website is not ready yet, but went in today and very helpful only £47 for a pair of front floor pans, they sell just about everything mk2 related
