Pre Turbo Fan

Featured Replies

Was aimlessly browsing car sites the other day and happened across a fan that is supposed to sit between the air intake and turbo, supposedly it "smooths" the air flow before it hits the turbo itself. They claimed improved speed and economy...

Anyone else heard of these or used them?

Cheers

Mark

not quite the same but still funny :)

Very funny :) and answers the question as well, thanks.

Considering what the turbo blades spinning at several hundred thousand rpms do to the induction airflow I don't think that there's much point of 'smoothing out' the air before it gets there!

I call 'bull-!Removed!' on that one :)

Using the you-tube video example, it's like sticking the poxy little ebay fan in front of the dirty great big industrial fan and expecting it to improve the airflow to the engine bay :P
