Immobiliser Problem

Featured Replies

The other night after driving home in heavy rain my wipers lights and horn all started going by themselves even when there was no key in the ignition. I figured there was probably water in the fuse box so I started the check fuses. I checked everything in the fuse box in the passenger footwell and all looked ok. Car still started ok after. I then checked the fuse box under the bonnet but after disconnecting the main connector and reinserting it the car wont start.

All that happens now is the immobiliser flashes like mad for about 30seconds then flases a code 1:6 which means fauty link between PATS and eec v module. Would I have done some damage by pulling this connector like blown or fried something?

After futher inspection I did find evidence of water damage in the central fuse box, can these be repaired and would this maybe be causing my problem

Thanks in advance
