Not sure if ive imagined it or if it was real

The focus mk2.5 titanium spec that had USB

Was the USB port inside the centre console arm rest and wasnt there a plastic pouch inside to hold an Mp3 player,

Got a picture of one:

Im now seeking a part number for the panel inside that has usb attached,

You see im fitting an aftermarket headunit to the focus,

It has usb, 3.5mm aux and ipod/iphone connection,

Im routing all of these through the centre console and i wanted to see the pocket that is inside like yours,

Because i eventually plan to have the pocket fitted in mine to hold a device

I don't want to drill the hole in a location that will obstruct myself in the future,

After thought

Since ill be replacing the existing 12v socket with a USB & 3.5mm AUX port

Im going to measure the box tomorrow and see if this will fit instead:

Just need somthing to hold the phone or MP3 keeping it safe and seperate from everything else in the armrest.

Update:

I measured up the interior width of the centre console arm rest storage pocket and this phone storage unit wont fit:

However I've found this smaller one that holds only the phone and fits perfectly :)

Plan is to fit it to the back of the centre arm rest storage box to hold the iPhone while its connected to the headunit preventing it from falling around.

Much like the original ford design fitted to ST3 and RS models:

I would have purchased and fitted the Genuine Ford part to hol( th3 MP3 player or Apple Device however after reading this thread:

I've discovered that the Genuine Ford part is somewhat outdated because the armrest wont close if an iPhone is fitted in the pocket

Fitting the Universal pocket seems the better option as it can be positioned lower down inside the unit eliminating any fouling issues aswell as being alot more cost effective while retaining a more/less stock feature of fords original design.

Taking it and making it better is what it's all about :)
