So, not had a great day so far, lots of fails, some my fault, some not!

Anyway, disconnected battery to fit cruise wheel.

After reconnection I cant select a year after 2013 in the date display.

And the radio won't accept the code that's written in the book.

Just having lunch then need to try and sort this, any ideas?

how did you sort the date issue, that's been bugging me for a while now, perhaps the radio got changed at some point in its life. i ended up forking out a few quid to get a new code, worked first time.

Set the date to 31 12 2013...wait a minute and it ticks over to 1 1 2014 and you can set the right day and month. Weird I know!

Don't think the radio's been changed but it's possible I guess.

Usually the problem with radio codes occurs when buying a car second hand.

The dealers tend to throw random handbook packs in with the car and don't bother to ensure it's the one with the right year manual or radio code card.

There are traders on ebay that generate V codes for about £6 but you will need your radio seral number (V-------)

Well it's the right book pack as it has the servicebook with my VIN and the key card etc. The radio code was written on a business card from the dealer where I bought the car, who had also bought from a main dealer and sold the car twice previously within the last 4 years and serviced it yearly in that time. Really can't understand how they'd get it wrong!!

Anyway, fortunately I have a mate who works at Ford and he found the correct code for me. :D

Much easier.
