St Intercooler For 1.8Tdci

So, have decided to upgrade to ST intercooler in my diesel 1.8tdci. What would be the next step before remap? Thnx

Mk2 0 6 plate havent done yet. Cos dont know how to take out intercoler

My mk1 1.8tdci is mounted at the front of the engine just 4 bolts and unplug the sensor And its off fairly easy

Yeah i know its at the fron. I had a look at it and it looks like that its fixed on hook on clips. Just wondering will it come out trough tye top or i have to take the bumper off.....

Mine is mk2 m8 its at the bottom of radiator......

I havent got and i dont think its worth byuing just for that.... Cos next step will be air induction kit all hoses change to silicone ones, brembo brakes, ive blocked egr already and whats left is remap :)

Good to know it sounds better

If you want the engine to produce more torque & power and the car to be quicker, i recommend forget about chaging the intercooler and just get a remap, this will make the biggest difference and the most "bang for buck" other worthwhile mods are to fit a solid EGR blanking plate

there is some potential for more power from exhaust mods but the remap on its own makes a big difference on an otherwise stock car

changing the intercooler can loose power on some cars - for all sorts of complicated reasons

Ive done that already :) every little helps bud :) egr, intercooler, air filter :) i will remap hopefully next year. And im considering of geting a longlife custom made complete exhaust system :)
