Dazbo85 Posted December 3, 2014 Share Posted December 3, 2014 Hi all I noticed a unusual rattle last night from near the alternator and it got louder today I've had the alternator changed in January and cam belt changed about 18 months ago Any ideas what it could be? geminitrad Posted December 3, 2014 Share Posted December 3, 2014 Sounds like the aux belt tensioner could be shot. Changed mine recently, cured the noise. Try putting some pressure on the tensioner using an open ended spanner when idling (be careful of moving parts!) Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
