I want a reverse camera and screen for my focus, anyone got any recommendations

Have a search on the forums here - there's a couple of in-depth topics on usually non-branded chinese sat nav/DVD head units, reversing camera screens and a beaut on what cameras there are plus how to install one.

Some of these concentrate on fitting to the mk2 Focus but can be applied to other models easily enough.

I'm not so much as interested in a new head unit pal just a small additional screen I can mount somewhere

How about a rear view mirror with a screen integrated into it?

I really like the but my mirror has that auto dim feature to stop lights glaring in it which is useful lol

That is a shame.

It would have been tidier than having a screen stuck to the dash.

Yeah they're sweet little mods but amount of twits in Chesterfield that drive with there full beams on is crazy! I can always find somewhere cool to mount the screen just need to find one that's decent mate

I have seen some that are fitted into sun visors but seem very limited in the range of cars they fit.

I found a thread on here somewhere where the OP had transplanted a Mondeo headliner console into a Focus, with it modified to replace the sunglasses holder with a 4" screen for reversing camera.

There's probably a few more creative ideas out there for making a nice neat installation for the screen.

That does sound pretty cool! I saw someone cut and adapted the trim near his gearstick to mount a 5" screen and was at an angle easy to view
