My rear brakes appear to be stuck on. Any ideas what can cause this. Cables appear to be good at back of car but lever is floppy

    Check the handbrake cable is totally free to move properly, from handbrake lever itself then under the car where it splits off to each rear brake.

    Though it could be the lever is slack because the brakes are already fully on, but if it's rear brakes only and both of them then handbrake seems the likely culprit in one way or another.

    Don't know if rear discs or drums would have a bearing on this too.
