Fiesta Zs Ecoboost Mods

Featured Replies

Hi, I'm sure these questions have already been asked but I really want to make a few changes to my Fiesta Zetec S Ecoboost, would be very grateful if people could give me some ideas?

Also would 35mm lowering springs be adequate to make a visual difference to the car and which company am I best off looking for a remap with?

35mm would be suitable for lowering, wouldn't personally go any lower. I'd use eibach or H&R springs.

The re map question depends on whether you want to keep or void warranty...

If you want to keep it then mountune is your only option, otherwise collins performance I would reccomend.

Okay that's what I'll go for then, thanks a lot, I'm not to sure yet whether I want to void the warranty or not :( it's such a disappointing map from Mountune considering the build up and previous options on past Fiestas

No problem and yes it's a decision we all face hahaa, mountune will more thank likely being MR maps out for stage two and three in the future no doubt. The Ecoboost engine is seeing upto 170bhp atm with pumaspeed etc.

Yeah I've had a good look at Pumaspeed, you don't happen to know how far you can take the 1.0 engine before it needs breathing mods do you? I know Pumaspeed offer many different tuning options but you can only do so much with just a remap can't you? After that it gets pricey for the hoses, induction kit and exhaust system etc.

They can go as far as 140bhp without any other mods, then you'll start to need an intercooler and induction kit and exhaust etc.

can reccomend Collins Performance if you wish to go down the warranty void route

Okay I didn't really understand the website for Collins performance haha, what kind of maps do they offer mate?

There stage 1 is 140 but I have a friend with the map and its spot on.

There stage 2 isn't released just yet but Will be soon, you'll need an intercooler and induction kit with that though.

Any idea of the acceleration increase? Collins would be handy for me because they have the closest dealer so I wouldn't have to travel too far for it

Couldn't tell you exact figures if there not on the website, you'd be best of giving them a quick phone call and they'll explain.

Yeah I'll try that, thanks for helping me out anyway! :)
