Just repaired mine due to tact sWitch knowledge .. Gently prise off the front of the button , small screwdriver either side will work , remove white rubber insert , clean the inner black button of the White rubber insert with alcohol .. Not JD, meths or a contact cleaner on a Q tip , then clean the face inside the dash mounted switch the same way , the brass part that looks like a SIM card is the bit your after it should have no contact marks , replace parts and test ! Hope this works
