Water Leak

Featured Replies

:(hi can anyone help, I have a focus climate change 1.6 4 door hatch 2005, issue losing water seems to be going into driver side footwell where is it leaking from? please help

Heater matrix probably, footwell smell of antifreeze?

Actually its normally a couple of o rings that leak, connecting matrix with pipes that go though bulkhead in to engine bay, they can be changed in situ but can be a bit tricky re-asembling.

cheers Ian , yes you can smell antifreeze , could this be a DIY job (use to be fitter in the seventies ) you mention 0 rings (dealer part?)

Confirm its leaking from the joint between heater matrix and pipes, when you look you will see where I mean, o ring will be ford parts supply. Can be a diy job but will need assistant to hold and push firm under bonnet while refitting retaining clips
