Upgraded Headlight Bulbs??

Featured Replies

Hi, can you tell me what the best upgraded headlight bulbs would be for a 2007 mondeo, I'm thinking bright white???

@btmaldon are they a halfords buy do you know??

These bulbs won best in class in auto express. They give off a very bright white light I've got them fitted to my mk7 fiesta st and there great.

Just search there site for the exact fitting for your car.

Bosch Pure Light are brilliant, bit pricey at £18.99 a pair but are worth it. Halfords sell them.

Look good, cheers for that mate, are they road legal?

Yeah there road legal bulbs so you won't have a problem. Only thing you will find they look blue for the first few minutes when you put them on but they go white once they've warmed up.

Yeah got that to do just not got round to it yet. I still need to do full beam and fog bulbs as well. Just had to get the stock dip beam bulbs done cause they are appalling!! I don't know how ford get away with putting them in cars there absolutely crap and that's being polite.

Just popped the Bosch pure lights in and look very well I must say but noticed that one of the headlamps is only secured with one screw as opposed to 2, the top screw that's secures the headlight in place isn't holding anything in place if you get me??? It's in the hole but not securing anything like the other headlight??? Looks like the bit of plastic had been broken previous??? Will it be ok with just one screw securing it you think???

The new bulbs definitely look a lot better. Think of the head light has lasted this long with one screw then you should be ok.

Cheers Steve, Defo light up the road a lot more...suppose your right about the headlight!!!

Before and after...

what adifference it makes

Looks loads better, just went and got some today after seeing this thread. Loads better than the Osram nightbreakers I had in. :)

  • 1 month later...

I got some Phillips X-Treme vision from a website. Cost £20 with free delivery and came with a free set of Osram sidelight bulbs.

Put them in my car and the difference was vast. Really bright white flood on the road. I'd had Osram Nightbreaker Unlimited in my Peugeot before and they were good but not as white as the Phillips. Deffo the best buy.

PS I didn't use the free sidelights as I have Cree LED projector sidelights fitted and they look awesome. £6.89 free del from ebay.

hi neil

what website did you get the philips x-treme that's great price

paul

I bought them from powerbulbs but sadly they've gone up in price since I bought them. God knows why but they're £30 now. The good news is they're offering 20% off everything and you still get the Osram sidelight bulbs free.
