My handbrake light stays on when in motion then turns off after a little while then intermitantly turns on and off.

Also the abs light randomly comes on then off then on for a minute or so then off

that indicates you have a braking system issue and if I was you I would stop driving until you make some progress on diagnosis!

It could be as simple as a faulty ABS loom but when the red brake light flickers on and off that tells you there is more of an issue with the braking system itself, such as fluid pressure.

You need to get a code reader on it and get some info, or just get it to a garage to look at if you cant get more info. I would however strongly advise that whilst it may be nothing, its not worth chancing your life in case of a total brake failure!

This happens in my fiesta. I had a problem with my bearings and my abs sensor was damaged, after it was repaired he didn't knock the light off my dash and not long after that the handbrake light came on yet I've had new pads put in. I'd still get it checked out.

Have you checked your brake fluid level? When my other fiesta 's rear hard line corroded through the fluid slowly drained every time I applied the brakes and eventually caused the light to come on

My handbreak light would come on/off intermittently on my old VW Touran (usually when going up/down hill), after I checked handbrake found it was low break fluid in resovoir.
