Focus Mk2 Central Locking Issue

Featured Replies

Hi

This is my first post and I hope I can find some help here as I have a problem. Last week I took the car to have the timing belt kit replaced along with the water pump. After I took it back, when I got home I realised the central locking is not working anymore. It was working fine when I left it there. I have tried to reset the fob using the 4 contacts thing, I also have a new battery on the remote but still no success. It's like the is no central locking on the car, when I press a button nothing happens. Any ideas what else to check and what the guys in the garage may have done?

Thanks in advance

Have you tried to change the battery in your fob?

Yes, that did it, the thing was, I have bought a battery from Poundland which it was new but it was still not working, and after that i went and bought a duracell one which did the trick... SO no more poundshop batteries for me...
